The general configuration tab allows you to control some of the
default behaviors of the application.
- Show progress tab on download - When checked, Bunzilla will automatically display
the progress tab when you start a download. When unchecked, you will remain on the currently
selected search tab after clicking on the download button. Staying on the search tab
facilitates rapid selection of additional files to download while automatically switching to
the progress tab is useful when you monitor the progress of the download.
Each search you perform includes a checkbox which allows you set this feature on a per search
basis. Making a change within the configuration will change the default value for any new
searches performed. Search tabs which are already opened are not effected by checking or
unchecking this box
- Automatically clear upon completion - When checked, downloads will automatically
be removed from the download page upon completion. When unchecked they will remain listed
on the progress tab.
The same checkbox appears at the bottom of the progress screen. Changing the value on the
progress screen only effects your current session and is not preserved when you restart the
application. Changing the value from the configuration tab will automatically change the
setting on the progress tab and make this the default setting whenever you run Bunzilla
- Continue to run as system tray application on close - When checked, closing Bunzilla
by hitting the close box, the exit button or selecting exit from the file menu will leave the
program running in the background. In order to stop the program completely, you need to right
click the icon in system tray area and select exit. When unchecked, the program will completely
shutdown immediately. Any transfers in progress will be haulted.
