Vegas Guide Overview
Intro
Most people think of Vegas as an adult playground and a place to drink and gamble. Thats absolutely true, but its got a lot more going on. Vegas is a
great jumping off point to an entire region of the country. You are within a 4 hour drive to many outdoor recreational areas, the beaches of California and
the ski slopes of Utah and the Sierra Nevada Mountains, hiking in numerous state and national parks including the grand canyon, boating on lake mead etc. Most
tourists rarely venture beyond the strip. Those that do often only go as far as the downtown freemont street experience. Feel free to explore this site and
learn about all there is to do.
Weather
Weather is mild to slightly chilly in the winter and hot as hell during the summer. Vegas only gets a few inches of rain each year so it is almost always sunny. Don't
let the heat scare you too much. The humidity is usually extremely low.
